About our conservation work and Re-Wild Program......

HERE AT IDZ our core mission statement is always going to be conservation and the preservation of critically endangered species. Part of the reason our founder chose this island was for it's vast size and mild climate, you'll notice that the north end of our island only features maintenance roads and is available to guests strictly via limited guided tours. This is because we have dedicated thousands of acres strictly to our Re-Wild Program, which specifically involves minimal human involvement and acts as a stepping stone to the eventual release of critically endangered species. Our animals are monitored in a controlled "wild" habitat by our ReWild Coordinators and Veterinary team, and will eventually be transported to various National Parks and Wildlife Preserves across the globe!

Innis Dagg Zoo is dedicated to not only the repair of critical wildlife populations, but working with activists and our fellow humans to ensure the protections of such delicate species. Together we can work to a world where wildlife and humans peacefully live side by side!

How can I help?

While we are working with local, federal and even global governments and organizations to keep our project going, you can help us here at IDZ by visiting us here on the island or through our adopt-an-animal program !
